Glasgow flights to Oban

An unusual service has started offering flights from Glasgow to Oban and unlike all other flights leaving from Glasgow, this service does not use Glasgow airport. Flights to Oban depart from Glasgow's Pacific Quay and take off from the River Clyde. Loch Lomond Seaplanes operate this new service using Cessna 208 aircraft which carry up to nine passengers and baggage. The typical flying time is a mere twenty four minutes and a return ticket is around £149 return. The flights operate three times a day and if it is successful the operators plan to extend the service to cover Skye, Tobermory and Ardnamurchan.
