Russia's Black Sea resort of Sochi has been awarded the 2014 Winter Olympics. Sochi is the largest resort in Russia and is situated between the Caucasian Mountains and the Black Sea. Sochi enjoys the most northern subtropical climate on earth. There is normally over twoo hundred sunny days a year with an average Summer temperature of 26 degrees and 9 in Winter. Most of the outdoor events will take place in Krasnaya Polyana an hours drive away from Sochi.
